If there is one sector that is constantly changing, it is marketing. The media landscape of today is significantly different to what it was just five years ago, with the way organisations distribute information and how consumers want to receive it evolving all the time.

Keeping pace with these changes are marketers. It is their job to make sense of this new media landscape, which incorporates everything from social and mobile media to short-form video and other user-generated content formats.

However, that is not to say that organisations are only looking for those with digital marketing skills, because they are not. The demand is of course high for such skills but so is the requirement for those with a broad range of marketing skills and experience at all levels.

For many organisations, the ability to market their products and services on a global scale is an essential part of their growth strategy. It is also an opportunity for marketers with international career ambitions of their own to take advantage of, especially those who can combine digital and traditional marketing skills.

Demand is highest for brand management and advertising skills as well as those with digital skills for various roles, including SEO specialists, content marketers, chief marketing officers and brand ambassadors.
